Tell about the meat processing. Having worked in these plants, I'm interested in conditions in the plant, including the existence of any meat inspectors. I thought USDA ceased inspections years ago.

Excited to read your post! When I was a kid growing up in Amarillo my family really hated LBJ, complaining how he closed down the Amarillo Air Force base because the Texas Panhandle didn’t vote for him in the Johnson-Goldwater election. As a kid I didn’t understand any of this. Needless to say I guess I became a black sheep in that republican family. The 60’s were my formative years and I never swallowed the red koolaid. 😂

We already have guardrails in the Constitution, and in other places, concerning abuse of power. They are whole scale being ignored in the present. We need specific, spelled out laws against authoritarianism of any kind. And, we need a guardrail at the “gate” to prevent even the primarying of even the first hint of authoritarianism. Enough is enough forever!

Why are we allowing a small -very small group of people to cause so much damage to our government and get away with it? We must outnumber them by the millions. Time to take a stand and let them know their time is up. This administration and all his minions need to go for the sake of our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren . We owe it to them.

Wonderful news about Texas! Good to hear about these folks and about you and the work being done to get the oligarchs out. It is, as you say, a steep hill to climb … but the Texans I know are mighty. They just need to be shown the opportunity for change exists, that their lives could be better and that they are the majority. They’ve been keeping their heads down. Time to stand up.

Have you heard of the 134 PAC? They concentrate their efforts on the 134 counties west of I 35 by making sure there are enough precinct chairs, Democratic field offices, and providing support to candidates in multiple ways. https://www.the134pac.org
